"Had a lovely time doing an online demonstration and a video the following day, showing my art process when drawing and painting a landscape. Our venue? The amazing Rothley Lakehouse in Northumberland...one of the most idyllic places we have ever visited! All in aid of the National Trust Riverlands Conservation project.
Derwent has partnered with the National Trust and their Riverlands project to create the Derwent Riverlands Collection of art materials. On this trip I was demonstrating how to use the lovely sketching wallet and the watercolour set.
Thank you to John Lewis & Partners for hosting the live stream and video and to the National Trust for inviting me to this beautiful house. Some of the trees were planted in the 17th century and the lake and grounds were designed by Capability Brown. We did not want to leave...!
And a big thanks to Derwent for inviting me to work on this project."

'Renaissance Italy, The Adriatic & Amalfi Coast' cruise.
"It is always fun to share my love of the natural world when teaching art on cruises, especially when there are wildlife experts on board! I love collaborating with ORCA on our journeys with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. On this cruise, ORCA Ocean Conservationists on board shared photos and videos with the guests, who appreciated this unique opportunity to not only learn more about ocean conservation but to gets tips on creating artwork of whales and dolphins! As a Wildlife Artist (working on this cruise as an Art Instructor) it was a rewarding experience to teach guests about one of my favourite subjects! Just look at the artwork some of the guests created which was on show in the Art Exhibition. Great creativity on show!

'Whales and Dolphins of Iceland and The Azores' cruise.
" Back home from an amazing cruise to the Azores and Iceland on Borealis with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines; teaching art workshops and whale watching with ORCA on board! The ORCA team kindly supplied the artists in the art workshops with photos (to use as reference) from sightings on their trips, including on this cruise. They also came along to the workshops to see the artwork in progress and talk to us all about whales and dolphins. On the last full day at sea we held an art exhibition that showcased the incredible art that had been produced during our cruise. It was a fun art journey for all!
"Beautiful countryside, superb classroom and facilities and fun guests who were keen to learn and created wonderful artwork!"

"I was honoured to be asked by BBC Radio Merseyside and The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre to manage a project which included my teaching art workshops and then using the artwork, to design a wall frieze for the UK's first mobile treatment centre. The project lasted a few months and it was lovely to teach and support the workshop attendees, who produced wonderful artwork of Liverpool and surrounding areas. When we all reunited for the official opening of the mobile unit, I was stunned and honoured to find a plaque detailing my involvement in the project. This was a project that meant a lot to me, partly because my late father was born in Liverpool. Although we travelled abroad during my upbringing, it always touches my heart to visit this wonderful city."
